Difference between Facebook Like and Facebook Recommend Button

Fecebook trends is commonly being used by all websites. Most of the websites already using facebook like or recommend button. Anyone can get the facebook like button from http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/

On this page you can select either “Like” or “Recommend” button.  But before selecting any button a quick question comes in mind. “What is the Difference between Facebook Like and Facebook Recommend Button” so here

Like button is basically used for the site/page which only needs to be shared on facebook. where Recommend button is used for e-commerce websites where you want to recommend any product to your friend circle . Its basically verb change but still this is used for customers to insist to purchase that product

*. Recommended things appear much more prominently on one’s wall and news feed than Liked things

*. As per Facebook spokeswoman Malorie Lucich Like is the “recommended solution moving forward”

*. So finally we can say that functionality are same but only appeal is different between like and recommend button.
