Responsive Websites are built with CSS3 Technology and they have a flexibility that it will automatically adjust theri design based on screen resolution.So with this way you can use same website for Web, Mobile,Ipad,Android, Tablet etc. The disadvantage assocaited with this one is costing associated with the responsive redesing and their implementation.

Iii) Separate Theme for your mobile website: If your site is not using responsive technology and you don’t want to change look and feel of your website then you can try with this option. With thise option you can create a separate theme /design for your website and then use the new website with new URL.
For example if your current website is http://www.abc.com then your mobile site might be http://www.m.abc.com. If your current website is in wordpress then you can try with a free plugin .
WordPress theme switcher Plugin After enabling this plugin it will automatically check if the current website is opening on web or on mobile compatible device . On web it will show normal theme where as on mobile compatible device it will automatically change the thme that willl be for mobile compatile site.
